I have tried installing some kexts and other things in other threads to no avail, but I'm wondering if there is someone who can walk me through what I might be missing from the uninstall process that might be the missing key. I've done a lot of searching and haven't seemed to find anyone else that has been bitten by the uninstall. how can I get back to the functionality I had previously had before doing the initial CAT uninstall? If I try to connect my trackpad and keyboard using the dongle now, right after a hard-fought connection, just as it's about to connect. In my system profile, I can see the bluetooth card in the USB area, but not in the Bluetooth area.Ĥ. but it still didn't work and I get the warning that handoff isn't working in the reboots now.ģ. ![]() Trying to install the with the beta CAT was impossible because it said I didn't have bluetooth 4.0 but it was plugged in and sort of working. In fact, the system preferences didn't even show the trackpad or keyboard as connected. My bluetooth trackpad and keyboard worked, but just not with the tap to click or other preferences I had setup. After the reboot for the uninstall- The bluetooth showed as unavailable (grey with a wavy line through it). So I used the uninstaller part to see if the beta one wold work better. This tool makes the necessary changes to enable OS X 10.10 and 10.11 Continuity features on compatible hardware. ![]() I did realize that handoff and airdrop weren't working so I used the Continuity Activation Tool to see if I could get it to work (I'm still using El Capitan) and it worked for about 1 min on airdrop, but didn't see anything for handoff. So I bought one of the Apple Broadcom Bcm94360cd cards and as soon as I put it into my GA-X79-up4, the bluetooth and the wifi worked immediately.
